Who do you help?
I work with clients who are ready to invest in themselves, gain a deeper understanding of who they are, and build emotional resilience. Together, we can focus on managing emotions, identifying negative thought patterns, and improving communication within relationships.

Tell us about your background.
I hold an MA in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. My background as a therapist includes working with both justice-involved individuals as well as clients in private practice settings.
What makes you unique?
The connection between therapist and client is a key part of the therapeutic process. While every therapist has their own perspective and approach, what really matters is how comfortable and connected you feel in our sessions. My goal is to meet you where you’re at, helping you find a balance between embracing who you are and working toward making the changes you want.

I specialize in helping clients develop coping skills for better emotion regulation, attachment and relational issues, anxiety, and personal growth.

Therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood, while also being gently challenged to step outside your comfort zone. It’s important to take time to check in with yourself and ensure that you feel a sense of connection throughout the process. If you feel something isn't working, let me know and we can figure out next steps together.
-
We will discuss what brings you to therapy and your goals for the process. I'll share a bit about my approach and answer any questions you may have about working together. This is a chance for us to get a sense of whether we’re a good fit.
-
During our first session, I will ask you some background questions to better help me understand you. We will identify your needs and goals for therapy so I know how to best help and support you moving forward.
-
I offer virtual sessions.

Based on each client’s goals and the focus of our sessions, I will offer activities for clients in between appointments. Much of the progress occurs outside of therapy, where you’ll have the opportunity to practice and apply the skills in real-life situations.

Yes, therapy is a space where you can talk about anything that may be on your mind.
-
Sometimes you may struggle in knowing what to talk about- that's okay! If that happens, I will meet you where you are at and guide the session.

Therapy is a process, and it’s normal to experience ups and downs. Change takes time, but you'll often start to notice small signs of progress, such as improved interactions with others, a greater ability to respond rather than react, and a deeper understanding of your thought patterns. I often highlight these small signs of progress during sessions.
-
It is not my role to give advice, but rather to listen and guide you in identifying what best aligns with your own values and goals.
-
The amount of time spent in therapy differs for everyone. This is something we’ll discuss together throughout the process, regularly reviewing progress, goals achieved, and any future goals you’d like to work toward.
-
If at any point during therapy, you feel it is not benefitting you- bring it up to me during our session. I encourage all clients to advocate for themselves and we can figure out next steps together.
